Map CSV headers to Photoshop layer names
Start with stable layer names such as product_name, price, front_art, or badge. Use matching CSV headers so the panel can identify text and smartobject targets in each selected PSD template.
Combine variable text with artwork
A personalized print can combine a customer name, date, quote, and image. A catalog card can combine SKU, title, color, price, and product artwork. Photoshop applies the type styling and visual effects already present in the PSD.
Plan for long text and missing images
Automation cannot decide whether a translation is visually too long or whether an image has the right crop. Test representative rows, including the longest text and widest aspect ratios, before processing the whole spreadsheet.
Keep row outputs identifiable
Include a SKU, order number, or other non-sensitive identifier in the output naming pattern. Do not put private customer information into public filenames unless your operational process explicitly requires and protects it.
